What Is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold laser therapy is a treatment that uses gentle, low-level laser light to help with pain and

healing. A special device emits this light, and it's directed at the area that hurts or needs help.

The light interacts with your body's cells, which can reduce pain and inflammation, and it can

also help your body heal faster. It's a safe and painless way to feel better, especially for issues

like sore muscles or joint pain.

What Happens During Cold Laser Therapy

During a cold laser treatment session, you can typically expect the following:

• Preparation: You'll be asked to wear protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser light. Depending on the treatment area, you might need to change into a gown or expose the targeted body part.
• Treatment: Dr. Richard Leigh will use a handheld device that emits low-level laser light. Gently move the device over the affected area, applying the laser light directly to the skin. You may feel a slight, warm sensation, but it's not painful.
• Relaxation: You'll need to stay still during the treatment, which can last from a few minutes to around 20 minutes, depending on the condition being treated and the settings of the laser device. It's generally a comfortable and relaxing experience.
• Post-Treatment: After the session, you can usually resume your normal activities immediately. There's no downtime or recovery period associated with cold laser therapy.

Frequency of Cold Laser Therapy
